Allyn Martinez

Ceramic Artist, Sculptor

I draw inspiration from the evolution of social perceptions and perceived expectations surrounding social norms, feminism, and personal anecdotes. The impact of those inspirations navigated me through life, as I translate my journey into my sculptures, leveraging various mediums and techniques to communicate the trials of my experiences. I hope my work will stimulate a level of discomfort whether it is through vulnerability, disagreement, representation, or subject matter.

I have a BFA in Sculpture from the University of Houston. I currently teach ceramics classes at 3rd Coast Clay and work out of my home studio in Tomball, Tx.
